- Got mine sent to UK from a US Ebay retailer and its come perfect. Silent, flat and with the wonderful correct music on both sides 😊
- Edited 3 months agoTo Scorpia's credit, it's a really nice suit in a glossy finish with a quality photo with sharp contours and a very good copy of the back cover. The paper is relatively durable compared to Optimal, GZ or United, so it will last for ages. Of course, it is incomparable to the audiophile version of TP, AP, MM or CR. It is worse with the quality of Rainbo pressing. Lots of distortion that ruins the otherwise very good sound of this release. Of what I have from Scorpio and BN, probably the best. It's a shame, because Pearson's album is one of the label's treasures, and at the same time, it's not one of those that are often released on vinyl. If you can find a good copy of this issue, I highly recommend it.
- Edited 4 months agoNot really a collector of Duke Pearson so this was a really pleasant surprise. Excellent feel good session and perfect pressing.
Interesting to read all the reviews noting errors with the music on side 2 - I presume this is an isolated batch or 2 - maybe they’ll become collectors items one day! - That was really exciting, opened the shrink and first listened to side 2 - „Los Malos Hombres“ comes out of the speakers :-)
I can’t get enough of this record - really high recommended album. I could say it like „DonKishot“ some posts before - AMAZING….. - I have just bought this release. It also has with the wrong music on side 2. Will be contacting Blue Note Uk. It does sound fantasic though. But not what I paid for.
