L'll Louis – I'm Hot For You

I have the original white label version of the DJ Kaos version signed by Kaos. We worked on a track in the mid 90's. Nice guy. Would love to know the value of the white label I have.

the original release of this https://www.discogs.com/LIL-LOUISIt-Atmosphere-Donnie/release/424147 came out in late 1991 i think? and was a bootleg produced by dj Kaos from Toronto, Canada i first heard this track at spotlight nightclub in newmarket ontario, along with other classics like MK Burning etc back in 1991 + 1992 both of those songs really stood out in my mind after hearing them - i was really into hiphop at the time but couldnt help but love these house tracks!

Many Canadians who listened to house music in 1990s can remember this popular anthem. It was all over the late-night airwaves and DJ's spun it in clubs where it sent crowds into a frenzy. The track skillfully samples three classics: vocals from Karen Young's "Hot For You" and Toney Lee's "Reach Up", while the bassline was lifted from Lee Lewis "Atmosphere". And combined with the infectious groove of The Stickmen, it gave the track a distinct Canadian touch - Canadian House. "L'll Louis" monicker was used to make it look like original was the work of legendary Lil' Louis, confusing the record collectors like me. Dancefloor stumper, still gets plenty of airtime today.
