This album is sex - that's the only way I can describe it. The theme of the album is so overtly sexual that you will find yourself laughing every couple of minutes as a husky voice whisper absurd sexual innuendos to a climaxing female counterpart. I generally detest the skits that producers put in their albums because they break the flow of the music and more often than not, don't have anything useful or new to contribue. Not so with Lovage; The skits in this album just as good as the songs, if not better at points - see "Herbs, Good Hygiene & Socks". I love Jennifer Charles' voice, but avoid googling her so that you can imagine anyone you want behind that voice.
Dan the Automator (of Deltron 3030) produced the album with Kid Koala on the boards. These guys are always up to no good, and their no good translates into lots of good for us listeners. They are talented and they know it - they are not content to restrict themselves and their talent to one genre classifiable body of work. They really push the envelope on this one, and it pays off marvelously.
