| Profile: | The Rebels is not and never has been a music group. The only song 'they' recorded was David Bowie's Revolutionary Song written by David Bowie and Jack Fishman. "According to the co-writer and soundtrack supervisor [for the 'Just a Gigolo' soundtrack] Jack Fishman" David Bowie "recorded the accompaniment for his 'Revolutionary Song' himself" (s. Nicolas Pegg 2004). Pegg states also that some backing vocals were added later on. Bowie's vocal contribution consists only of "la-las" (p. 173). |
