anyone got any good suggestions of getting candle wax out of the grooves of a record? I recently got a record as a freebie because of this, and was wondering if anyone got a bulletproof suggestion on how to handle this :)

This is what I've heard, never tried it myself.
Run hot-ish water over the wax areas (not hot enough to burn you, just hotter than warm) until the wax melts off in the sink.
Clean with record cleaner and a record brush and repeat the hot water rinse.
Play the affected area while the record surface is still hot with an old beater cartridge, re-rinse, and finally, re-clean the record with a brush and solution.
