Reviews
- LITA will keep milking Lee until the apocalypse, but until then, this is at least the most expansive issue of a classic album. Exactly why so many of these tracks haven't appeared before now is unknown to me, but happy to report they're all very listenable and the production of this reissue is as stellar as any other LITA product.
- For those who already bought the last reissue and wonder if they should buy this one again : just for "First Street Blues", yes it worths the buy !
- Not a review, but I wish they wouldn’t cram extra tracks onto the first LP. The last LiTA repressing suffered from having two alternate tracks. This one keeps it down to one extra track. Still, I’m concerned it’ll have the same inner groove issues.

My copy is excellent. Zero issues. Love this record. Love this era of Lee.referencing Cowboy In Sweden (CD, Album, Reissue) SLR 030
Sadly this is a rough needledrop with quite a few pops on Hey Cowboy so not even sourced from a NM LP, not much care taken in the remastering of this versionreferencing Cowboy In Sweden (LP, Album, Gatefold) LHI 3101
U.S. version seems more rare. 339 people have it here on discogs compared to 1,282 Swedish copies. What I find odd is that all the U.S. pressings can only be purchased from Sweden (not one copy for sale from U.S. sellers while writing this). Was this really ever originally released in the U.S.? Did anyone of you 339 owners of U.S. pressings purchase this back in 1970 in the States?? Just curious? Anyways... love this album! Ol' Lee killed it in the 70's while living in Sweden!!referencing Cowboy In Sweden (LP, Album, Gatefold) LHI 3101
Finally found a NM version of this and I must say it sounds great and smokes the LITA version. Everything sounds natural and balanced.referencing Cowboy In Sweden (LP, Album, Gatefold) LHI 3101
The grooves are incredibly wider on the US press than the sweden one !- This release is amazing, worth the price just for the dvd, which is a surreal montage of music videos for the album and odd little Lee moments in Sweden. The studio footage is a personal favorite along with him driving a sporty Saab with a horse trailer attached.
I’ve read some reviews about the black version being off center, not the case here. Love the fittingly blue vinyl and the pressing is top notch (RTI i believe). The album notes are a great read for context (end of the LHI era) and the poster is a cool addition.
If you’re into Lee this is an essential set. referencing Cowboy In Sweden (LP, Album, Gatefold) LHI 3101
My copy of this LP is pressed on heavy vinyl. It almost feels like a 180 gram pressing, but has this exact label design and original gatefold cover. Anyone else have this pressing and can confirm that it's a heavy (non-flexi) pressing?
