Reviews
- Supreme Beings of Leisure follow up their debut with DIVINE OPERATING SYSTEM, which goes straight into disco-house with "Give Up" and reprises with "Divine" and the Spanish-tinged "Touch Me." "Ghetto" has a light hint of funk to it, but doesn't quite live up to its name, in sound or lyrics, but "Catch Me" has a swooning grace, and with "Get Away," Soriano-Lightwood gets a chance to channel her inner Rosemary Clooney in a modern big-band arrangement. "Calamity Jane" edges into dub, and "So Much More" brings in a touch of melancholy. Maybe not quite divine, but it operates well nonetheless.
