No more hero's is probably the most recognizable song from the Stranglers, but, imho, it is their song, Golden Brown, that takes top honors. It more like a classical pice of music rather than a pop song. The melody really draws you in, for me it takes me into a dream like state. When I play it, I listen too it multiple times in one sitting.

The Stranglers Golden Brown Irish UA Label Ultra Rare 7”

All early Irish releases are rare, limited to (apparently) 300 - 500 copies.

However, this item is the rarest of them all with a very limited quantity on UA label; allegedly only available for one day.

This was the transition period to the (far more common) Golden Brown on a Liberty label.

So the UA label was pulled and is extremely rare.

Golden Brown’ UA label (Ireland)
Due to a mix up at the Irish pressing plant, a few of the band’s Liberty era single Golden Brown were accidentally pressed onto old stock UA labels, creating an immediate rarity.
