- Great pressing! As noted elsewhere the cover art is a bit blurred but hey ho! Needs a good clean before playing. Recommended
- Slightly dodgy cover art touch up aside, this is streets ahead of the original. A marked improvement in dynamics and punch and loads of space and depth of field where it needs to be. A superb master, in that it doesn't tread on the feel of the era or the original. It simply adds focus and impact.
Also - The plain poly-lined inner and card printed inner is always such a nice touch in these reissues imo. referencing Kaleidoscope (LP, Album) 2383 586
Apparently the spine of this German issue refers to the band as "Siouxsie and the Banstrees". Can anyone verify this and supply a photo?- Edited 7 months agoSoundwise it's a stellar reissue.
Though I have a huge letdown during Skin, where Siouxsie's vocals and guitar distort in the left channel in a most bizarre way. It's not even an IGD, it seems that it's printed this way.
It's still better than my copy of Juju that was completely botched by Optimal: the whole thing distorts all the way (with a micro-line stylus) and is printed incorrectly. Once again, Optimal is a way to ruin a near-perfect reissue. - Fantastic pressing of a fantastic album. Vinyl is lovely and flat, absolutely no background noise and sounds great. Very impressed.
- Very impressed with the SQ ! Sounds rich and dynamic and I’ve really enjoyed revisiting this fascinating album. This was such a fertile time for British music post punk, and Kaleidoscope is up there with Metal Box, 154 and Entertainment for me.

Mine has the side 1 sticker on both sides! Inner sleeve sports "Special Price" ads.referencing Kaleidoscope (LP, Album, Stereo) 2442 177
Very excellent record and one of a kind! Love the artwork and songs on kaleidoscope- Edited one year ago

Do yourself a favour and get the Geffen CD (GEFD-24048) instead of this one. Whilst still much better than the remaster, this Polydor mastering is overall a bit dull sounding, has an unnecessary fade out on "Trophy", and the first half-second of "Christine" is cut so the song just abruptly starts. The Geffen has much clearer sound and none of those errors. It's strange they dropped the ball with Kaleidoscope... the rest of the Polydors sound great, and a few are superior to the Geffens (Juju being the biggest example)!
