Style Wars III is still such an eclectic machine and a tune that stands for itself.
A perfect example of authentic, energetic, profound techno sound of the mid 90s. - Kurbel rules ! Untitled B1 - one of the deepest and darkest techno tracks ever made. like a snake attack. a underrated classic ! I played with Richard one time together - what a cool and nice bavarian live gig freak. Unforgettable ...
- At a time when there was mainly Studio 1 minimalism and "Rhythm & Sound" BS, youngster Richard Bartz fuqqed our ears with clever, harttt, yet soulful true Techno. The first four Kurbel EPs, three of which were generously re-released on the CD "Escape", proved that Germany doesn't have to envy Detroit for real Techno and that racists should better shut up... Such competition is good for all and I wish there was more of it these days
