Men Without Hats – Rhythm Of Youth

One of the best synth pop albums of that golden age early 80's, adding some grit with Ivan's rusty voice, to set them apart from their contemporaries.

I've got another issue with an additional track A6 "Antarctica". German pressing from 1982, same front cover but blue/white labels. 6.25 297-01

I've heard that this album is related to the conspiracies regarding moon cultists, can anyone confirm if this release is infected with the madness?

Solid 80s synth pop, the cover art always made me think it could be an old hardcore record

I obtained an AccurateRip-verified download of this 2010 reissue to see how it sounded, and in 2021 I bought the actual CD, brand new. Strangely, the CD I got appears to be a slightly different master than the download I had. Compared to the download, the CD sounds a little more clear and crisp with a very slightly clearer high end. Comparing the Log files, the track times are different and the volume peak of the CD is .89 while the downloaded rip is .96, so it seems that after the initial pressing of the 2010 remaster, the label may have tweaked it a little for subsequent pressings.

In general, the whole CD is compressed more than I'd prefer, but it really does sound pretty darn good for a 1982 early synthpop recording.

One of the best sounding records I have at my collection so far that really took me by surprise. The seller told me it's on a VG+ condition, but when I played it at my turntable it sounds like nearly on Mint Condition. Surface noise if pretty much non-existent even the in-between tracks and quiet parts of the record. Amazing!!!

C'mon, no booklet, no informations about line up or history for a pretty expensive release! It's a shame! If I only wanted the music then I could have streamed it.

Antarctica from the original e.p. Has an extra verse not found anywhere else. Not even on this release. Too bad no one will release this on cd.

How come this CD issue is so sought after? I know it was the only one till 2010, but is it cause it was an original Statik Issue? Seems like people are willing to pay high, anyone know exactly why?
