The 3 ‘extra’ tracks:
Track 41 is Steve and Anto’s Overture [Explicit] but plays the same as the original (and can’t be explicit as it’s an instrumental)!
Track 69 is a repeat of Jimmy Shand.
Track 79 is The Grief of Pan [Explicit] but plays the same as the original (and also can’t be explicit as it’s an instrumental)!
Weird. - Good lord we need every single track from this out on vinyl.
The 12 min version of "Too Close To Heaven" is nothing short of a masterpiece.- I disagree with sharrison's review of May 6. Most people that would be interested in this set probably already own the original album anyway (I had umpteen versions of Fishermans Blues related releases already) and it's nice not to be forced to have it AGAIN. I love the way this is presented as a complement to the normal album, rather than as an alternative version of it.
- I am just wading into the box set, but I notice only about half of the original album is inside. The missing tracks are possibly extended versions, or in the least the song "World Party" is about a minute and a half longer than it would be on the album. It's kind of disappointing that they didn't set one disc aside or even just the beginning part of the first disc to provide the complete album in order.
