'Manaka' is simply an incredible track and one of the best acid jazz/future jazz tracks ever recorded. Drum track was also superbly done.

Splattering of saxophone doesn't make for a great album, looking back not a release that defined the 90's. Jonah Sharp is rather overrated.

The late 90's was a magical time for a electronic music. It was still the wild west back then and Jonah Sharp was in full exploration mode with some great projects. This particular album holds a sweet spot for me because it hits a lot sweet spots for me. Sharp delivers a perfect blend of house, ambient, electro and jazz. The best part about it is the whole LP holds your attention and works as a unit. Essential.

A truly talented artist releasing both great solo and collaboration albums: Alien Dreamtime (with Terrance McKenna), Sea Biscuit, Emit Ecaps , Alien Community I & II (Pete Namlook) Quiet Logic (Mixmaster Morris), Electro Harmonix (Tetsu Inoue), Instant Replay(Tetsu Inoue), Reagenz I-3 (Move D), Visitation (Bill Laswill)...A artist that can truly dabble with abstract, electro, ambient, techno, tech-house, deep house, jazz and more and always delights with originality and excellence whatever the genre.

Double Fine Zone is a excellent album yet quite underrated! A rewarding and fresh feeling listen that brings live saxophone jazz with futuristic techno-logy driven music delivered with J.Sharp's magical ability in making it all work. A album that for some might take a few listens, due to its more jazzy feel, to really appreciate the beauty this album holds with its enchanting fusion blending electronic downtempo-ambient-techno/house with use of live played sax jazz. A more jazzy influence exists on this album when compared to previous excellent STC ambient-techno(+) albums and releases -yet DFS still maintains all the hi-tech wizardry with all the classic signature sounds that makes Spacetime Continuum music/ambient such a joy to listen to over and over again. Tranquil ambient, tingling Detroit techno, mellow soft bass, lush rhythms and breezy sax jazz mixed with comforting twilight sounds and elegant touches that brings a wonderful feeling of breezy summer days to mind with the albums mellowing dance, uplifting and chilled moods and a certain charm that swirls away in the music making this album perfect to simply loose yourself in with good comforting feelings.
