Jinny – Keep Warm

A very underrated and - mostly - underplayed remix single in my opinion. The original is fantastic, no question about that, but the remix gives a new aproach to this tune. A very groovy/funk bassline with a common samples from this era creates a very nice and tasty tune. Chocked in the mix with other tunes and you'll be smiling. 10 out of 10 inmho.

I actually think the sleeve designer should of used the rear image on the front of the inlay.

warning in typical dance music fashion the model on cover or in video is not the singer because the old ,fat and ugly singer doesn't sell as much as a young, thin model or dancer.

Massive in the clubs and on Kiss FM in London in 1991 but had to wait 4 years with the new remixes to cross over to the English pop charts.

LMC Remix is pure class. Sounding very 95ish and is much better than all the remixes released 1995.

The " Keep Keep Keep Warm " sample is from Voices In The Dark "Keep Warm " US 12" 1987.. great boogie / disco dub on this and cheap as chips.

This is a gallus tune. First learned of it on the 7" version which managed to get my hands on - can't believe that mix (the best in our opinion) was on this version of the 12" (it wasn't on the whitey). Some guy from Madchester brought it up to Scotland and let us borrow it - he wouldn't let it out of his sight!

Classic early 90s piano house. Think Jinny went on to front a few Aphex Twin gigs but not sure.

This classic track that we all know was also brought out on white label, with vst 1356 etched on the run out groove. I have a copy of the white label, maybe its worth a few quid, i dont know. No matter if it is or not this track is one that stands out in time when out clubbing in the early 90s. No doubt one of Jinnys better tracks. Also available on italian style productions,discomagic and various other labels. One we will always remember Jinny-Keep Warm.
