The Psychedelic Furs – Forever Now

Amazing sounding press. Knocked me out when I put this on the platter.

I stumbled unto the Furs 1 month after their second album dropped July 5th 1981 in Baltimore at the Marble Bar. One year later at the Warner Theatre in DC I caught the Forever Now tour. Their sound had matured for the better in 1 years time. To appreciate this album it takes headphones and an understanding of the Psychedelic Furs wall of sound approach with Richard Butlers clear and expressive voice emanating from the center. This may be my favorite album. It's hard to say after seeing them 12 times through many records over the years.

I don’t think these early PFs albums were exactly audiophile, so based on what we’ve got I think they sound time. Post punk - or whatever you want to call it - had a spiky sound generally and you definitely get that here. Certainly don’t regret buying them

I was slightly familiar with the furs but never really listened to them. Glad I picked this record up. It was 3 bucks and i can't leave a record store without buying something. Anyway, I really enjoyed it. Probably gonna explore some more of their discography.

Quintessentially 80s, this is a superb album for fans of new wave and alternative. Not the whole album though, does get a bit dreary! Nice Press for a nice price.

Finally paid up for the UK shipping on this. Completely worth it as the US artwork version pales in comparison. And the pressing sounds fantastic!

Great pressing great full well balanced production. This really is a great album.
