I haven't noticed a skip in my copy of compounded so maybe you have just been unlucky. Can confirm the pressings are nice and deep and sound cuts through well without having to crank up the gains. So yes I would recommend grabbing a copy of this musical anthology, its a set on its own.referencing United Dance Presents '88-'92 Anthems 2 (5×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Compilation, Limited Edition, Repress) UMLP004
You cant really go wrong with the compilation, it has something for everyone, its full of 100% classics.
From the house sound of The Source "You Got The Love" / Debbie Malone "Rescue Me" through to the deep baseline of LFO "LFO" / Renegade Soundwave "The Phantom", the Belgium techno sound of Trigger "Stratosphere" / Quadrophonia "Quadrophonia" and the Hardcore sounds of 2 Bad Mice "Bombscare" / DJ Edge "Compounded", topped off with one of my all time favorites Psychotropic "Hypnosis". and thats just a few of the tracks.
This is a great collection of classic, all huge tunes and played heavily back in the day & beyond.referencing United Dance Presents '88-'92 Anthems 2 (5×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Compilation, Limited Edition, Repress) UMLP004
Great collection of classics, not the best quality pressing though.- This is one of the ultimate classic undergound rave compilations. Tracks on here are still being played on daytime pirate radio in London 20 years later. How many undergound tunes are even remembered 20 years later? NONE! It's just sad that it takes 20 years for the real good stuff to be properly recognised. On this CD you will find tune after mutherfunking tune! Every single one is someones favourite anthem. If you have any knowledge of undergound dance then you should recognise a big chunk of the material, well all the rest are the same too.

On the 2 coppies i've had the J1 track Edge 1 - Compnded has a lilttle skip near the start on the 8th loop of the beat. Seems like its in the pressing.
Even so its a fine cash saving compilation some good acid & early hardcore. Even with a few quality tracks from the original Slipmatt mix excluded. Such as Sueno Latino, Fast Eddie, Humanoid, One Tribe, Papua New Guinea, Sound Clash, Take It Easy Remix, DJ's Unite Vol.1 & Hurt You So & others.
Plus being a 5xLP theres no more than 2 tunes a side keeping it well DJ friendly.
