Perfect Day, Cascada's second album, is by far their worst album ever, with some of the most offending lyrics, terrible production, and awful musicality. So far, Cascada has wowed their fans with their debut album Everytime We Touch, blowing the crowd away with production innovations such as "Everytime We Touch" and "Miracle", but it's only gone downhill from there. After the glory days of the Everytime We Touch album, Cascada has lost its touch, both musically and sonically. The music and production sound on this new album are distasteful and repetitive, and Natalie Horler's singing voice has become unbearably irritating. There is very little creativity on this album, and sadder still is the fact that Horler has introduced rebellious and radically feministic lyrics (e.g. on "I Will Believe It" and "Perfect Day") which are guaranteed to infuriate, offend, and deeply hurt faithful husbands and wives alike.

Regarding the dreadful production sound and musicality, their tone is unbalanced. On several of the songs on the album, particularly on the worst Cascada song ever recorded, "He's All That", the wonderfully choppy downbeat lead-sound melody unfortunately clashes with the dreadfully shuffled closed-hi hat topper, and it just doesn't work.
When producing good Hands-Up music, if you're going to have choppy downbeat lead-sound melodies with a percussive "twang" at the start of the note, you need to use a compressed and gated open hi-hat and NOT shuffled closed hi-hat toppers. Otherwise it doesn't work at all.

"I Will Believe It", "Just Like a Pill" and the title track "Perfect Day" are the most offensive songs on the album because of the rebellious and radically feministic subject matter that plagues them. The lyrics on these three songs are so disgusting I can't believe Cascada would stoop to this level. When I first heard these songs and what they were sung about, I was very angry and hurt. I cannot understand why "Perfect Day" ever became so popular. Its lyrics are downright hurful and nasty. Even the lyrics of "Who Do You Think You Are?" are suggestive of female rebellion.

"He's All That" is the worst Cascada song ever created, mainly because the main melody and backing vocals are terrible, the song structure is distasteful, the closed hi-hat topper is awful, the chord structure is stupid, the lyrics are downright embarrassing, and Natalie's vocals on this song are infuriatingly irritating. Dreadful.

To sum it all up, the main offenders on this album are "Perfect Day", "He's All That", "Who Do You Think You Are?", "I Will Believe It", and "Just Like a Pill", five songs which should not be allowed to exist on this or any other album. Even though the remaining tracks don't exactly have rebellious or feministic lyrics in them, the problem is that the aforementioned five offending songs are so woeful that it ends up dragging the rest of the songs down, in a typical case of squandered potential.

Perhaps this review is a bit cynical, but the truth is that this album is NOT worth your money. Most of the songs on this album are not worthy of Cascada's true talent of making good songs. I suppose that by the time they arrived at the production phase of Perfect Day, Cascada were finished making good songs. It's a shame to see such talent go to waste.

To conclude, Perfect Day is a dire and dreadful Cascada album, and I would NOT recommend buying it, downloading it, or streaming it live. In fact, I would strongly recommend avoiding this album at all costs.
