Simply the best trance compilation I have ever heard, should be selling for £50 plus!
I have a lot of trance comps ranging from very poor to very good but none having that it factor or wow factor.
But this PVD Mixmag cd has it all.
I play it at least once a month if not 2 or 3 times a week.
It makes me feel good, it uplifts my mood and energy levels.
It's amazing that this cd was free with Mixmag...just buy it today or regret forever.
Favourite track is # 5 Wellenrausch "On the Run" the only vocal (female) track on the cd.
All tracks are excellent, no filler, no rubbish and I like the final track unlike the other reviewer.
    This cd is perfection.
13 Euphoric Stormers as the cover says or Trance Perfection as I say.
Paul Van Dyk possibly could be god !! ????

Wow! Mixmag have released a few decent trance mixes in recent years including Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren, but this has to be the best. Packed with absolutely blinding tunes, this is a great find for any real trance enthusiast. Every track oozes quality, and most of them are either exclusive to this CD or very hard to find in the UK.

The first 2 tracks are very cool, with a chilled funky-house vibe to gently ease you into things. Then at track 3 (Dale Askew's incedible electro-trance remix of "Broken Pieces") the pace really takes off and we're away! The very next track, "Funk System", will have you shakin' your booty all over the place with its wicked repeted vocal sample and crazy rhythm!

Next we have a few fairly decent trance works (tracks 5,6,7) and then it's straight into FOUR peak-time scorchers with the massive "Afflito 2003", "Iris", "Connective", and finally "Answers" -Forbe's follow-up to "Questions".

PvD delivers a brilliant mix into "Purple Haze" which will have you reaching for your bedroom ceiling (or stretching your arm out of the car window) with its uplifting and feel-good melody :)

But it's all over too soon - after just halfway through "Purple Rain" (it's the shortest track on the CD) we head into the oddly-placed "No More Rain". The sound is quite piercing in comparison to the rest of the mix and I dont think it makes a very good final track - perhaps Paul needed to add it into the mix as it was Vandit's next release!? Seriously, I found it hard to listen to this track!!

Overall, an excellent CD. A great blend of soft, melodic and harder trance (but skip through the last track) and don't forget to check out Paul's goodbye at the end of the CD - hilarious!

"Zey ask me to zey somefing at ze end of ze CD. I dun't vant to say somefing at ze end of ze CD...!"
