Star Mark is a known Label form the Russian Federation that specializes in "Bootleg / unauthorised compliations and albums." < http://rateyourmusic.com/label/star_mark/ The only "copy protected" applied instance would be to the original officially released CDs that has already been violated as "unauthorized," by Star Mark.
- Edited 13 years agoI don't understand why these "releases" by Star Mark are listed in this site, when this business is known to be illegal.
Furthermore tagging it as "Unofficial Release" is misleading as it suggests artists or their label had something to do with it. "Illegal release" would be more apt.
Having said all of the above, you should steer clear from this compilation of tracks that were probably downloaded from the net. Quality and dynamic range are downright horrible, with distortions and clippings abound. No need to be an audio engineer to realize that once you have a listen.
