It's true! There is some shocking quality problem on this compilation. Luckily, "krome & time - license VIP mix" sounds great! I'll keep this for that track alone, but it's worth seeking out other copies of the tunes you like on this. 5/5 for The Licence!
I compared the following tracks. Ganja man (Where is the Amen?! Sounds crap!), Calling all the people (where's the hi hat?!), Champion Sounds (passable but not great).- Great compilation of classic jungle dnb tracks!!! The sound however is terrible. Sounds like an old cassette tape!!!

- Was chuffed to bits when found this in a local shop. However I was rather disapointed to hear that some of these tracks have been obviously ripped from mp3s for pressing.. As some tracks have blatant mp3 artifacts or messy top-end.
Edited 12 years agoYes - great unreleased version of 'The License' indeed, but pretty sure 'Ganja Man' is also an unreleased mix.Starts off like original but soon starts to diverge and by the end is totally different.Some other dope exclusives here...Hopa & Bones remix of Incubus and DJ Hype mix of Nu-Groove both wicked : ) In fact, most of these are different versions.- This mix of the license was, up until the release of this LP, the first time it was formally pressed (besides a super rare test press). It actually should be listed as a remix because it is not the original or any of the mixes that came out on Tearin' Vinyl.
