Not sure what happened to the most recent repress (received April 2022) , but it sounds horrible. Tried 3 different copies, all duds. Purchased this based on glowing reviews all around, but am left very disappointed. My OG sounds great, and most all the other recent AAA Neil reissues I've got sound great - for whatever reason this latest run of Harvest just isn't happening.

The 1972 Canadian original sounds better so I sold this one, don't need 2 copies. Although the presentation is better on this release. Lots of the usual reviews on here, "I own it therefore it's one of the best-sounding records ever made!!!"

Piling on. This sounds absolutely fantastic. Don't hesitate to pick this one up.

Spectacular pressing, recording and mastering. Definitely one of the best sounding records in my collection. Masterpiece.

Adding to what has already been said; this is one incredible pressing! I do find the colours slightly oversaturated on first track but not to the point of being unpleasant. This is Neil Young at his best and sounds like it was recorded yesterday (not 50 years ago)!! This is one of my top-5 best sounding albums.

An impeccable pressing of an impeccable record. Quite gripping sound.

Insanely great sounding pressing and mastering. Very good instrument separation and great soundstage. Man this album sounds so good it makes it hard to appreciate some of the other albums I have in my collection.

Hi, anyone else purchase the 140g release and receive 180g vinyl instead? According to Discogs the 180g has the exact same packaging as the 140g except the barcode sticker is applied over the shrinkwrap. My barcode is on the sleeve like the 140g, but the vinyl weighs 180g.

This is one of the greatest sounding records I own. Silent vinyl. Ridiculous sound!! AAA pressed at Pallas and cut by Bellman, can't go wrong. Buy this before it's out of print.

A faultless release I slept on for far too long, Im just glad I didnt miss it.
There is little reason to distrust Bellmans skills. Here he hits the nail even more on its head than usual. While I can find some of his cuts slightly edgy at times, this one has a near perfect tonal balance with lots of bass, maybe even too low of an EQ at times.
Of course the recording conditions and quality varies a bit throughout. I cant really find fault in the better tracks like Heart Of Gold however for those worse ones like Alabama I might prefer it a bit brighter and vocal present. Nonetheless Im still satisfied with the sound without hearing other versions.
The pressing is quiet beyond some surface noise between songs and the sleeve reproduction is fantastic, which explains the cost difference between this one and the other Young reissues.
