So well known in the jazz world, this classic Ramsey Lewis album was recorded live at a cool jazz club on the Cali coast, the Lighthouse...So many "LIVE" albums are a muddled mess but here you have the energy and emotion that the audience brings to the session back in 1965...Heck, they even sing along with "A Hard Day's Night"...Jazz great critic Leonard Feather grinds out the info ladened liner notes...Plus don't forget Ramsey at the 88, Eldee Young on bass plus Red Holt pounding the drums...A winning recording session and more importantly a WINNING album you will always treasure...
