Reviews
- A nifty half-hour of jazzy nips reminiscent of Mr. Scruff and the early works of Amon Tobin. A very underrated album, worth your time! My favourite track is "Pepsy", which combines jazz and drum 'n' bass like Squarepusher.
- If Ween were to cut and sample and collage rather than play their songs for the most part, they could have made this record. But they didn't. And they are not English. Either way, I see many comparisons, and I find that fact quite enjoyable. Grab this LP, it will grow on you.
- Dutch Barge Dog is one of the greatest songs ever. A 'weird' gem this, even for weirdos - fits no category but everyone goes 'what the fuck' several times while head-nodding and foot-tapping... I want 'Dutch Barge Dog' played at my funeral. That's how 'what the fuck' it is.
- definitely funnier than drawing on other people's heads, well worth tracking down. if you like wevie stonder and wevie de crepon you might like cassette boy (on barrys bootlegs label)who is similarly funny but uses cut up samples from tv and random music.
- Absolute brilliance wrapped in the silliest materials available within our lifetime! A bit like waking up & remembering bits & pieces of a very strange dream, yet feeling very euphoric about the experience.Or maybe old radio waves are starting to head back towards us after spending time floating around in space? A must for those who love Mr.Scruff's fishier tunes
