Reviews
- Not sure why anyone enjoys the Redux or why Kurt ever remixed it, but it sounds commercial and clean, completely contradicting the album's aesthetic. The original mix reminds me of 80s scandinavian crust punk like Rattus and Crude SS. It's completely vicious and horrifying in the best way. There is nothing menacing about the redux and it somehow distills a really special album into a piece that feels like a part of Kurt's college portfolio. I am still to hear a remix of an iconic heavy album from 2000-2010 that actually enhances the original idea. Seems like people chase textural clarity and forget about how the original thing made us feel.
