Recommendations
Reviews
- A quite overlooked recording. Glad to have found it. Music, sound and pressing leaves nothing to be desired. Two tenors at work - great! Playback with mono cartridge highly recommended to get to the ultimate sound.
- Amazing pressing, as usual by AP. Unfortunately my records were another victim of the pink inner sleeves used back then. No harm to the sound, but they are now all "tattooed".
- A lousy sonic joke. Sonic masturbation without the final release. No wonder, a woman turn her back on this.
Just waiting for the audiophiles to split one track onto 4 sides of holy audiophile virgin (!) vinyl.
A late 80´s CD sounds better - I didn’t really know these two horn players but this is great, hard swinging bop. Lovely recording as well. Blakey is pounding and the horns are full and biting when they need to be, resonant and warm when played as such. A very pleasant surprise.
