Reviews
- This is a great album that any body who is a fan of Ziggy Stardust or Transformer should have in their collections just out of respect as neither of those albums would be as good as they are without this mans input.
- I loved this album when I first heard it (on cassette in 1975). It led me to the VU for one thing. The cover of White Light/White Heat was originally slated for inclusion on Bowie's 1973 Pin-Ups album I believe. Ronson stuck his own vocal on top - good stuff.
When I saw a cheapo cassette comp of the VU shortly after I snapped it up. It wasn't quite what I was expecting to be honest, but it grew on me.
Billy Porter is probably one of the best glam anthems. I've got a nice UK promo somewhere.
Some of the filler tracks are a bit forgettable but I have good memories of listening to this album on cassette 'round at various boring relative's houses in the mid '70s. I'm sure Ronno had a much better album in him - but this was ok at the time.
