- It's too bad they didn't allow the head and tail of each section to breathe a bit more before just rushing onward to the next one as if none of the elements are supposed to have any emotional impact. There are also a couple of rough tempo changes in there which sound accidental enough to break the flow for me. It's such a sadness, because - ignoring the aforementioned - this is truly a great performance, and I personally regard the final product as no less than an audio recording/engineering masterpiece superior to both the 1978 ECM and 1998 Nonesuch versions.
