Reviews
- Surely not their best album, but it contains some good songs. I like La Guadeloop and Liquid Whisper a lot.... also Traveller. On "You´re not alone" Lothar Meid uses words of a David Bowie song. ( ...here I stand foot in hand...)
- Much maligned and splits opinion but I think it's one of their best. Of course it's all about musical tastes and I like most of Amon Dull's stuff but for me their best stuff is their less self indulgent output, including Hijack, Made In Germany and Wolf City.
Opinions are of course just like arseholes....everyone has one! and this is mine...lol - Edited 11 years agoBeing a proud owner of all thing Amon Duul II related, for the longest time this was one of my least favourites. I just got through playing it for the first time in years (the original German vinyl on Nova), and now it's a strong contender to be in my Top 5 by this band. It seems my tastes have become much more tolerant/accepting over the last 40 years. Or perhaps the new phono cartridge is responsible? This album isn't for everyone, in particular fans of their earlier works; Yeti, Wolf City, Carnival In Babylon, Tanz der Lemmings, etc. They might find this a tad difficult to listen to. But who knows?
