Profile

Started accumulating children's records as a little kid in the late
1950's and Top 40 records throughout the 60's; but I didn't start seriously collecting until the early 1970's when I came across a stack of Elvis and Bill Haley 78's in a thrift store in the UK. Besides collecting records, I also collect comic books, 1950's & 1960's toys, Halloween decorations, Monster model kits, Tarot Cards, and antique books among other things. My collections are probably the result of being an Airforce Brat and moving all over the world every couple of years. You hold on to stuff because it's about the only thing that's constant in your life. The great thing is that my hobbies keep me from EVER growing up!

Most cassette versions of this LP repeat the track TOP OF THE WORLD as the last song on the B-Side to make the tape about the same length on each side.

The first commercial use of the bar code was in 1974, but then it took a couple of years before they were widespread, so you are correct.

Weird trivia: If you hold the LP front cover up to a mirror the "U" and "P" in "SUPERTRAMP" reads out as "9 11" right over the twin towers, and the cover picture is supposed to be the view from an airplane. I see posts on the internet making... See full review

I had the same problem but I was able to fix it by gently crimping the dowel with pliers so the discs come out and go back in easily. The hardest part was removing the discs in the first place, I was so afraid they would break!

I must agree with SirPeter, this label was in use from late 1969 through 1971. I know for a fact that I received this pressing for my birthday in early 1970 so the date of 1971 on this submission is not strictly correct.

I bought this back in the 1970's and hated it so much that I got rid of it right away. Then in 2006 I saw Dylan in concert and decided to re-buy the album. For some reason, I found that I really liked it. Whether he really put it out to punish fans or... See full review

One of the most perfect albums by anyone ever! Although The Banshees would continue to release one excellent LP after another, they never topped this one. JUJU begs for a deluxe edition containing all of the associated singles and non-LP B-sides.

This pressing sounds great in spite of the fact that it's pressed on ultra-thin floppy Dynaflex vinyl. Most Dynaflex records in my collection have a fair amount of surface noise in quiet passages. This LP is an exception and it sounds as rich and full... See full review

On this album The Ventures take on hard rock with mixed results. Most of the LP is quite good but a few tracks are weak. Probably the weakest is the "Whole Lotta Love" cover. In the spoken section we hear: "Way down inside... What more... Can... You..... See full review

On this stereo LP tracks A3 (Home) and A6 (Walk, Don't Run) are in mono, at least on this pressing.
