SELLER PROFILE
I'm well into my first year utilising the discogs platform and gradually adding items for sale from my collection.

The important thing to know is while I have had to profile myself as a "Business", I'm not a business per say.

I've been retired for a good few years now and consider myself as a hobbyist seller only. I started buying vinyl in June 2023 to replace a large amount of LPs that were stolen from me some 40+ years ago. I started to buy replacements from auctions, but to get one LP I wanted, I acquired (i.e. 'won') a much larger number in the Lot. I now have a circa 22 of the LPs that were pilefered from me in the late 70s, but in doing so I’ve acquired quite a collection. Therefore, I need to dispose of the ones I never originally owned, or wish to keep.

In April 2023 I discovered Discogs. Buying has now become a thing... I love to browse around (especially auctions) and I buy more than I should. I've now ammassed over 2,000!

But as iterated, selling vinyl is not a business to me, it's just away to make some money towards concerts, travel, holidays, etc. However, I meet the criteria set out by Discogs to identify as a business seller because I sell items I've bought.

Because the income from my Discogs dealings is not important, when listing records I alway try state it how it is.

By this I mean that the condition of the items I list for sale will follow the DISCOGS grading guidelines as accurately as possible. However, this is subjective and buyers may disagree with my rating. That's fine as I'm happy to negotiate that point based on the photos and sound clips I take before shipping an item.

If you purchase from me, all items will be reviewed and cleaned before being carefully packaged and posted (all items will be played in at least 5 random points per side before I package/ship). Any poor audio playback will be noted and I will let you know if this is the case before I package and ship the album.

As such, if I'm not happy with the quality after testing, I will let the buyer know. I'll always be happy to refund in full or negotiate a partial refund on mutual agreement (everyone has been happy to date!).

I will generally ship all items within 48 hours. If I am away when an order comes in (fairly often), I will let you know asap, along with an estimate of when I can ship.

Finally, while I make every effort to ensure I have listed the correct version of an item, I cannot guarantee it's the version you are after. It may be that it was hard to determine the right version based on factors like matrix runouts and other identifiers. If you want to check out any identifiers before purchasing, ask me to send information from the actual item.

PERSONAL PROFILE
I'm a huge music fan and have recently fallen in love with vinyl again after buying some decent up to date hi-fi equipment (a Denon amp, Denon CD player, KEF speakers and a PRO-JECT turntable). A great condition LP sounds so good... so much richer and deeper than other formats. The (vinyl) King is Dead, Long Live The King!!

My first vinyl purchase was the hit single "Hole In My Shoe" by Traffic, quickly followed by "Albatross" (Fleetwood Mac), both bought in 1968. The first album I purchased was "Bridge Over Troubled Water", bought in 1970. I'm a big Bowie fan and have always been influenced by lyrics... something Mr Bowie exceeded in.

My collection though is truly eclectic, from Collins to Coldplay, Eurythmics to Eminem and Sade to Status Quo.... If it resonates with one, that's what matters!

Vinyl will live beyond me... so happy listening everyone!
