I do not recommend purchasing the "Cosmic Rock" reissue. They must've used a cassette master and applied noise reduction... especially on Telephone Girl it sounds very dull and inconsistent.

Note that there are different versions of PRPOLP-4477... original pre-release has just "FUNKMASTER FLEX" as the artist on the label, with a sticker added for "FUNKMASTER FLEX & FAITH EVANS". Later they changed the label to read; "FUNKMASTER FLEX... See full review

NO the quality is NOT bad at all! I don't know what tactix is hearing but my copy sounds great. I did have to clean it, which you should always do with new vinyl. I'm sitting here comparing the digital download I got from my record pool vs the vinyl... See full review

I picked this one up second hand. I'm not hearing any issues on Runaway and there is LOTS of bass, unlike comments i've heard of the other similar release. Not sure if its just my copy but it only has 3 of the artwork inserts, the ones that match the... See full review

The commercial vinyl release is mislabeled on Side-A. The original promo had the version w/o K-Solo as A2 but the commercial release actually has it as A1 but the labels and jacket list it like the promo tracking.

This is a MONO pressing off the original analog tapes by Kevin himself, it sounds perfect! Not just the actual music fidelity but also the vinyl itself is extremely quiet.

You Owe Us side is pressed very low, to the point even if you max out the phono gain on your mixer its not loud enough! Never could play this vinyl in the clubs without heavy feedback due to having to crank the gains

Correct about the pressing but not the jacket. My orig copy looks more like the repress but matt jacket and it is 100% og. Maybe printed in Canada vs USA for the cover? I'm pretty sure Polygram did that... one pressing plant but the litho for canada... See full review

This cover still doesn't match my original pressing. Labels look identical, including the pressing ring hitting the H in METHOD in the exact same spot. My labels are pretty worn and typical greying of '90s Def Jam labels. My cover however DOES NOT two... See full review

Two comments;
1. I wouldn't categorize this as HipHop. I've always put it in with my R&B crates.
2. The (VOCAL) version has a pretty long break at the beginning but ya I get it if yo bought this version thinking you were getting an actual... See full review

The original Jamaican 45 is labelled as Cutty Ranks "Love Mi Hafi Get". It was quite common back then for a DJ to voice over a prereleased song and be solely credited as the artist.

My copy has the wrong label on it (PH-57-B: Cutty Ranks - Circle Me Country; with the title blacked out) and the runout has;
PH-83-A. A1 is "Love Me Have To Get"... the audio is not very good, the highs are dark sounding in spots. Maybe the first... See full review

Two HUGE Soca classics, "Move" and "Ah Feel To Party" and essentially, two extended versions, plus 2 filler tracks. Hard to rate this album... i mean those two songs are 5 star for sure but "Revolution Time" and "Look On The Bright Side" are just OK.

Absolutely perfect vinyl transfer. That said, being a live orchestral recording of hip hop, you're not gonna get that 808 bass or that studio sound but its a very well made record.

I wouldn't say that the 2017 US reissue is a "standard" weight vinyl. Its definitely heavyweight. Not sure if its 180g but way thicker than a '90s pressing.

One of the best packaged products I have seen released EVER! Great job on this one. Heavyweight 2xLP vinyl, heavy weight printed inner sleeves, large poster, booklet, Gatefold cover with gold foil printing. Just absolutely beautiful!
