The negative review of this pressing is bizarre IMO, just listening to it now. It's most certainly not "dull and lifeless". The piano is alive and the stereo imaging is wonderful. Audiophile quality from start to finish. RIP Ahmad Jamal.

Have three copies of this album: the OG UK press, the recent ruby red pressing and this Japanese reissue. All are outstanding IMO – but I particularly enjoy the clarity and separation of this one.

This is a gem of a record. AllMusic and its users give it a 4.5/5 star rating, Here it currently has a 3.83 average rating which is hard to understand. Give it a listen and decide for yourself.

The comments here re the unofficial Clear version are true for the Pink vinyl version: excellent (loud) pressing with no background noise – plus a high resolution printed sleeve.
