These Now reissues are great to add to the collection but WHY do they keep getting the simple things wrong. As if the omitted track(s) were not annoying enough they can't get the versions tight either!

I believe the 12" Single release date was 19.8.1983 with the 7" being released 4 days earlier on 15.8.1983 (hence the above mentioned 40th Anniversary release due out tomorrow.

Could be worse. Mine arrived well packaged safe and sound - no splits to gatefold PVC cover. Agree a die cut sleeve would have been better but is what it is.

2-9 Go West – We Close Our Eyes 3:43 sounds to me like a re-recorded vocal version. It's very close to the original with what sounds to me like the original backing track, a good effort from Pete Cox but not quite the same version.

Odd there is still no Vinyl release for this album as there are obviously stampers been created for at lease Side B as it was mispressed on the Dolly Parton LP here: https://www.discogs.com/release/22400125-Dolly-Parton-Run-Rose-Run.

Easy to tell if you have the mispress without even playing it as the Dolly LP has 6 tracks on Side B while the Alice Smith LP only has 5 tracks on Side B.

Assuming this 3 LP Set plays at 33rpm most 12" Singles back in the 80s were 45rpm so that might be why they can fit 4 mixes on one side on this release (I'd say approx 26 minutes of music). I had a 12" Mix vinyl back then that had about 4 mixes on...

Indeed. Compleat Beatles needs a DVD release. I remember getting that from my local Video Store to rent. I have it now on a VHS to DVD transfer but would love an official version!

Agree this is a top LP but SAW best effort for me was Kylie's Rhythm Of Love LP and best mix Matt's Jazzy Guitar mix of It Would Take A Strong Strong Man from Rick Astley's first album!
