I feel exactly the same. My original still beats this one out by miles. The mastering is too bright and the vocals are way up in the mix, ear piercing. No more mofi for me.

I agree, this is the best pressing I’ve ever heard out of the early first pressings. I’ve had some other ones that don’t compare to this SP pressing. I’m an old Stones fan, this is a must have version.

Excellent Gong album, I would categorize this album as funky prog music. This is really an enjoyable record from start to finish The one I have is the first UK pressing, sounds fantastic. A Must Have even for the funky people.

The US pressing from this same year and 1978 also sound a little on thin side, I found this out when I got my hands on an original pressing.

This is a great album for those who like funky jazz instrumental grooves from the seventies. Romeo & Juliet is my least favorite track, it’s not a bad tune but the other tracks are so much better. Highly recommended.

If you have to play it loud then it means this is a bad mastering job, not worth getting this. If the sticker on the back cover reads, Made In Czech Republic, Do Not Buy it. It’s crap.

This is a really good sounding pressing, I have the original UK single album and compared both pressings. This 2016 double album has a very nice warm bass sound that the original was lacking. Dont hesitate on this pressing, it's beautifully packaged...

Not one of the better Jazz Dispensary titles, the song selection is very strange, only one pure funk track. Very subdued tunes, boring borderline. I too have a wrapped pressing. Don't over pay for this one especially if it's sealed.

Why are the jacket covers larger then normal jacket covers? I'm noticing this with Craft records also and a couple of other companies. This is not good, I don't like the covers sticking out of place in my shelf units.

If you find this Italian pressing, don't hesitate, grab it. It's a really great sounding pressing. You will not be disappointed.

This album is a total funky groove jam, you gotta get this one if you love the funk. This reissue version from 1974 is only missing the song Soul Makossa. It’s not a major big deal, the rest of the songs are so good.

This is a really good mono reissue, I have a 1975 Verve pressing that is mono and this one comes very close.

Very cool album, if you like groove music with a spiritual vibe, this is an album to get. Lots of interesting percussion sounds, Jerry Garcia makes a guest appearance on here.

This is probably one of the best sounding albums released by 4 Men With Beards, that also includes albums by the English group Wire.

This is a fantastic live album, it's mastered by Bernie Grundman in 1973.

It’s excellent, just like the original, deep bass at a 45 speed.

Plays on 45, this is an exact replica of the original, only Swan Lake does not lock in the groove, it just fades out. All the deep bass is there. Great pressing.

Mine didn’t come with a Record Store Day sticker, all the catalog numbers seem to be the same. Label looks exactly the same with Get On Down on label. Black vinyl.

Just want to give a heads up on this great pressing, I had an earlier yellow Atco pressing, this one is from 1980. The sound is so much better, more clearer sounding. Mine has no barcode. Worth adding this one to your collection.

This limited edition sold in Urban Outfitters is an excellent sounding pressing. I have my 1971 original and this one comes as close as possible.
