Shoegaze was initially a pejorative term started by journalists. It did exist then but it wasn’t really used by fans. Indie rock was around as well but more often ‘indie music’ or ‘indie pop’

Both these reissues have been sped up which is so annoying as I don’t have pitch control. I guess the second reissue used the first reissue as it’s source. Somebody please put this out at the original speed!

This record lhas nothing to do with Mbv. Their main influences were Sonic youth, jamc and the Cocteaus. Pale saints were influenced by it

Their sound did develop with better production on tracks like ‘Room at the top (of the stairs)’ ps if you compare this version with the original, the difference is pronounced

Yeah they are the same but the problem was they were both rubbish. Expected more..especially from a cool looking 5 inch

Not a great pressing, kind of thin, muddy sound. Sounds like it was taken from a cd. Spelling mistakes on the back cover. Shell out on an original, if you can

Something went wrong with this one and I’m assuming the other comp. Bad pressing with muffled low grade sound. Dig out the originals and they sound much better.

Great selection, not the greatest pressing. Almost as bad as the Vergogna Shifosi coloured vinyl re-issue.
