Definitely avoid this as an introduction to getting into Gong but for Gong freaks this is essential, despite the drum solo! Beautiful vinyl and lovingly packaged.

Ooze is a massively underrated track; one of Skido's best, with a languid feel and almost Ska-like horns. it's the best track on this though the Electro Funk and percussion frenzy of Assassin is good too. The A-side is by far the weakest track.

I have a good feeling he would. He was surprisingly open minded.

Actually, it was very nearly reissued in 2015 to mark the 30th anniversary but that didn't happen due to some complex technical reasons. Maybe in 2025!

Actually, you are incorrect, "Chant Vaudou" is getting a release too apparently.

C.O.D.E.S. still gives me goosebumps. It's interesting that Quad I has become the acclaimed track in recent years. I think Quad II is atually thee one; that piano! Shame it's not longer.

Such a great record still, so good to have a well mastered repress. The remix is fairly pointless though imo.

well, i don't know how you got a copy as it most definitely hasn't been released yet (it's on my label). it comes out in germany on march 17th and will reach uk shops around march 24th.
