Masahiko Togashi With Don Cherry & Charlie Haden - Session In Paris, Vol. 1

Musically this is a really fantastic record, so much unique and delicate interplay. Masahiko Togashi's percussion really shines. It's probably my favorite reissue of the year. Unfortunately, the pressing itself is pretty subpar. The mastering sounds... See full review

Maybe one of the more slept on reissues of last year. Really great combination of 'out' sounds and rhythm. 4 stars for somewhat noisy vinyl.

I also got a flawed copy of this very nice sounding album; odd pops here and there and a full 5 minutes on side 2 where the vinyl is visibly, very badly scuffed right out of the shrink-wrap. I wanna take a chance on another copy, it's such lovely... See full review

And that's why there is no accounting for taste. I love this record from start to finish and think it is some fine improvisation-which is often 'detached' to at least some degree. 'Scattered' and loose is, I think, a large part of part of the point... See full review

Pressing is noisy as all get out, especially throughout side 1. It completely ruins the music. At this point, I think I'm done with colored vinyl.

A really great blend of styles and influences and, as previously stated, a real head nodder-just so solid all the way through. At times a tad psychedelic even. So far, jazz album of the year for me.
Derek Bailey - Incus Taps

Picked up a vinyl copy of this locally at a reasonable price. Each tape segment is separated on the record by some dead wax space such that you have to physically move the needle to the next one, thus preserving some of the inconvenience of the... See full review

I have had two copies of this now where track two on side C skips relentlessly. Anyone else with pressing issues?

Thanks for the feedback! Not sure why my post was deleted. Because I asked if it was good maybe? Weird.

Finally nabbed a copy for $75, just had to have it. The pressing is as others have stated, flawed. Little pops here and there but, it doesn't ruin it for me. Lucky that while Riley's music is drone-y, it's far from quiet (not to mention the amazing... See full review

To each their own, no accounting for taste, etcetera etcetera. This is so brilliant it's blinding to most.

Sounds about right. I went looking for a fairly recent release (Yves Tumor ‎– Heaven To A Tortured Mind) and found the page gone as well. Seems fully intentional. Sucks to have to take a screen shot of a product page but, I think that's what I'm about... See full review
