These days, I prefer private "underground" parties, or informal parties at a friend's house, and I have no tolerance for being searched at the door, told what I can or cannot consume, being charged ridiculous sums of money for beer or even water and I much prefer to play records and / or hear music of all kinds played on an "audiophile" sound-system, and at levels that won't destroy my still-decent hearing any further.
