Erik Bünger

Swedish composer, video artist and performance artist, born 13 February 1976 in Växjö.

His work has often been about the human voice and its contradictory relationship to the body, music and technology.

Erik Bünger studied at Gotland's Composers' School until 1999 and at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and at the University of the Arts in Berlin with a master's degree in 2004 in electroacoustic composition.

He has lived and worked in Berlin for many years. He works as a performance artist with the form lecture performance ("lecture performance"), which was a genre that flourished in 18th century theater in Great Britain with, among others, George Alexander Stevens (1710–1780).

Erik Bünger received 2011 - Ars Viva Prize from Kulturkreises der deutschen Wirtschaft im Bereich Bildende Kunst.
