Based in London and Berlin, Dennis Schoenberg is renowned as a fashion and portrait photographer with a focus on youth and subculture. He rose to prominence after assisting photographers Rankin and Steven Klein, managing Wolfgang Tillmans’ studio and working for magazines such as i-D, Vogue, Exit, Hero and Acne Paper. He is the founding executive editor of ‘Young Soul Rebels’ and ‘SMUT’, owner and creator of Plus and Negative Publishing and works freelance as a photographer, video and creative director.

German born Dennis Schoenberg moved to London in 1995 to study Film and Audio-Visual Production. Subsequently Dennis completed an MA in Photography at Westminster University in 2000. Dennis then went on to work as a photographic assistant for Rankin at Dazed & Confused, before moving to New York to assist Steven Klein. On returning to London Dennis became Studio Manager for Turner Prize winner Wolfgang Tillmans. Throughout this time Dennis built up a relationship with i-D Magazine for which he started working as a freelance photographer after having left his position at Wolfgang Tillmans. Since then Dennis has been working as a portrait and fashion photographer collaborating with various art directors and stylists for editorials and advertisements.
