Dutch record company, sometimes also used as label branding. Legal name: Artone Gramophone N.V. Please use Artone Holland when credited as such. Besides its own label Artone, it also represented US labels such as CBS, Motown, Hickory Records, ABC Records, United Artists Records and Cameo Parkway in the Benelux. By 1966 CBS had owned 50% of Artone and acquired full ownership three years later (including pressing and printing plant). The company was subsequently renamed CBS-Artone N.V., which eventually became CBS Grammofoonplaten B.V.
