Just discovered The Snuts and their debut record W.L. They have quickly become my favorite new band of 2021 and this record is one of the best records from 2021 that I have added to my collection. Give it a listen the vocals and writing are outstanding and the songs range from beautiful ballads to some great rockers. Certainly a band to keep on the radar.

      W. L. is a breathtakingly great rock album from this band from Scotland. The thundering love song "Always" reflects such great excitement of the thrill of falling in love as Joe McGillveray's fuzzed electric guitar whirls like a storm of emotion, "My brown eyed girl, you know I love you more every morning." "All Your Friends" has a creeper melody like a renegade detective show theme song and then bursts in to a raucous chorus about people partying out of control with white powder on their noses. It's wild. Lead singer Jack Cochrane's vocals sound remarkably like Jake Bugg. On the lighthearted "Somebody Loves You," Cochrane playfully confesses his love. "Coffee & Cigarettes" alternately pounds and then sounds like it's a soundtrack from a horror movie, "Tell me sunshine why there's blood upon your sleeve; I've heard the thunder and I'm sure that it's heard me; I watch my worries drown a hole into the sea." "W. L." is an exceptional rock album.
