Notes
"Graham and Sam are the original designers, builders and primary operators of this ingenious machine, best described as a cross between an inside-out fairground organ and an acoustic version of a tabletop electronics setup. It is a unique and eccentric instrument.
The Mammoth Beat Organ is always in development. Performances over the summer of 2022, including at Electromagnetic Field in Herefordshire, will showcase a new bellows system, a polyphonic disk siren and a mechanical bass banjo.
However, the labour of love doesn’t just stop there! Nik Clifford of Pearl Home Records made the vinyl cuts using a personally renovated 1950’s MSM lathe.
So this really is a package like no other, made from the ground up with an organic rendering of sound quality as is the case for the Mammoth Beat Organ, never has a hand-made instrument sounded so life like, so emotive, whilst retaining a signature techno sensibility! And in the case of this record release – each vinyl produced is made individually by hand! Limited to a short edition of 25."
