S A D – Super Sounds II

Udacha?
This crossed my path and is nothing short of intriguing.
My only recent exposure to the Russian electronic underground was from the mighty Gost Zvuk label and have had my ears pricking since.
But now SAD?
The mysterious cover art barely gives a glimpse as to at what lies beneath.
The sounds are a very organic yet cosmic trip through an obscure collage of sources that have no specific point of reference but sound vaguely familiar yet utterly alien at the same time.
Sit back, put on the headphones and enjoy the ride.
Definitely one of the more original things I've heard in a very long time.
Now that Gost Zvuk stirred my intrigue, Udacha have me downright curious as to what's next and until then, my ears will be very eagerly awaiting….

The showbiz in Russia has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis over the past few years. New talents have been unearthed, new groups have emerged and there has been a general consciousness for the protection of our local music.

But as a layman what can you say about the entertainment scene in Russia?

I am sure you will be the first to agree with me that you don’t need to be student of the music academy, neither do you even have to be serious critic of music before you accept the plain fact that there is a new sensation in Russia.

Almost everybody must heard of this young talented music group of two people P-sh and Fe. As a band S A D has released one album — ‘Campanology’ which was recorded live. This is their second album it gives me great pleasure to emphasize my feelings on this beautiful Album.

There are not words eloquent enough to describe this Album. It is vivid beyond description. Why? Because much of P-sh and Fe talents and musical skill has been displayed in it. In the selection one can find the great sweet rhythms and the superbly magnetic synth solos of P-sh flowing them, will no doubt give each and every listener of this Album, a complete musical satisfaction. Just take it easy and listen to the fantastic numbers awaiting you on this LP after which you will agree with me that this Album is realy great, fantastic and magnificient.
