Reviews
- A typical post millenium "psy" release with the average crystal clear production that makes this music really boring if not annoying. The drug references are pretty silly too. Sorry to say but the first GMS and Infinity project releases were so much better, crisp organic and original: Psychedelic and not only "psy". It is obviously music for the dance floor or a work out and not for home listening.
- Edited 11 years agoKiller album! Nine really strong tracks in here. 4/5 for the music, -1 for all the drug references, just feels so uninteresting.
- Edited 17 years agoI tend to agree. The samples do serve their purpose in terms of a sort of Goa heyday reminder in a not- so Goa time during its release. Indeed, it is an LP about drugs, and yes they are silly. It's not unlike remaking a classic movie in this day and age. The music present is not all bad- quite moving at times and smart at others, but the old Goa thing they tried to do here isn't quite as effective as it could have been say, if it was released in the late 1990's.
- Edited 18 years agoOne of the first psytrance albums I've heard. This sounded so good at first, but shortly after those stupid samples started to bug the hell out of me, "take the red pill" blabla. This could've been a real classic without the samples.
- Wheither the songs match their drug or if the whole idea is a bit silly is open for discussion, but this album is really one of the best psytrance albums ever. Note: the movie "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas" is used as a primary source of soundbites here.
