Colourway for this release is black, pink, and white (used in the barcode).
Runout groove, a side, measured at 2.3 cm (ish) wide. Runout groove, b side, measured at 3.5 cm (ish) wide.
Two pressing indents per side are located near the centre spindle hole. The more prominent indent being smaller in size and located inside the larger indent.
Limited to 1000 copies (another 1000 were warped and therefore destroyed); Track 2 is also known as "1989 Pure Trance Original", although it was in fact released one year later.
Bootlegs exist of this release, you can spot the bootleg by looking at the run-out groove. On the bootleg it is about 4 cm wide on each side whilst the original is thinner.
Bootleg has no barcode information on the rear of the sleeve and the "℗&©" is absent from ℗&© 1988 KLF COMMUNICATIONS...

Edited one year agoThis is an appendage to the ‘chill out’ LP. 15 odd minutes of ambient house bliss. I have this with the photocopied typed insert.- Edited 4 years agoFixed the pictures now to the correct images. You can quite clearly see differences when you line up Bootleg V Original copy. Apart from the difference in colour, the Original has a white barcode on top right hand corner, and Bootleg doesn't, so quite easy to spot. However check with the seller, as sometimes they can get mislisted. As per below Bootleg does sound good, but for Vinyl Collectors it has to be Original (which is now quite rare to pick up in decent condition). Apart from that, a landmark ambient tune and timeless classic, which still sounds great today.
Edited 8 years agoAnyone here who can tell me how much the bootleg version is worth? How many of these bootlegs are there? For how much are they sold?
Reading the comments on this vinyl it say that 1000 warped copies were destroyed but i have 1 of the warped copies which i brought from Red Records in Beak St,Soho in 1990 they had just come off the van so they didnt all get destroyed.
Edited 19 years agoIt also needs to be noted that it is easy to spot the bootleg of this a mile off---the type on the original cover is light pink,whilst the bootleg is almost burgandy,and where it says "last train to trancentral" across the bottom of the front cover,you will notice that the "L" in trancentral cuts right into the latge "5" ,whilst on the bootleg the same l only touches the bottom of the "5".
Also the reaction sheet seemed to have been circulated more in the bootleg than the original--DONT BE FOOLED!!!!!!!!
one of my personal all time favorite ambient masterpieces.- Edited 9 years agoA trance mix and an ambient mix, released March 1990. 12" only, only 2000 copies pressed, of which half of them were warped.
This is the "Pure Trance 5" remix 12-inch. The original was not released. Neither were "Pure Trance 3" nor "Pure Trance 4".
Notice "Go To Sleep" on "other data" on the label. The deleted 1989 album "Tunes From The White Room", the album featuring the 1989 single "Kylie Said To Jason", had a different version of "LTTT" titled "Go To Sleep". The "LTTT" remix on the "The KLF Meets The Moody Boys Uptown"
12-inch sampled "Go To Sleep". The unreleased original "Pure Trance 5" was to be titled "E-Train to Trancentral". Over And Out.
