Barefoot Jerry

Profile:

1971 to 1977 band whose style has been described as a fusion of country music and progressive rock, and as a seminal Southern rock band. Founded by Wayne Moss, guitar/keyboards/vocals, Mac Gayden, guitar/keyboards/vocals and Kenny Buttrey, drums who had played together in Area Code 615. They were joined by John Harris (6), keyboards.
After the first album Gayden left to form Skyboat and Buttrey joined Neil Young & [Invalid Artist]. They were replaced by Russ Hicks, guitar/steel guitar/horn/vocals and Kenny Malone, drums.
Sometimes Barefoot Jerry refers to just Wayne Moss
