Sting & Shaggy – 44/876

Shame they couldn't have done a real reggae album with edge instead of this light pop that gives the genre a bad name. Considering Sting clearly knows what Reggae can truly be, But I mean it is a collab with Shaggy so I'm not sure what I expected.

Not a bad album at all. Sting and Shaggy’s styles/voices mix very well and make for a fun light listen. The pressing is good quality and sounds excellent. The milky yellow colored vinyl is unique and looks good with the album cover. Worth picking up for the right price if you like either artist involved.

It happens to every artist that has been around a LONG time--the need to be "Relevant"..."Contemporary"....anything you want to call it.
However, these types of collaborations border on the ridiculous, especially for a musician of the caliber of STING.

Not the kind of album that would make you go visit Jamaica.
A couple of decent tunes, but not very engaging on a whole.
I expected more from these gents but since it's a warm summer and I have nothing but love for these two, I give it a 3/5.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I did, it's a fun summer album, despite being a bit "lightweight". It's recorded at a very low level, I have to turn up my stereo way past my normal setting to listen, not a bad thing at all, but wondering if other versions are the same.
