There I was, knee-deep in the strange and savage landscape of the vinyl frontier. A fresh acquisition had found its way into my grasp, a relic of the modern age wrought from the loins of the manufacturing beast. But alas, a residue clung to its surface, a testament to the tumultuous birthing process it had endured. No surprise, they said, for such is the way of the vinyl tribe in these times.

Armed with a weapon of modern sorcery—a high-quality microfiber cloth, slightly dampened—I set forth on a cleansing ritual. With delicate strokes, I coaxed away the impurities, the remnants of its origin story. The disc seemed to sigh in relief under my touch, shedding its burdens like a snake shedding its skin.

And then, the moment of reckoning arrived. The grooves whispered secrets to the needle, and the room was filled with the sound of anticipation. As the platter spun its hypnotic dance, a symphony of silence enveloped me. Both sides, unmarred by the cacophony of unwanted noise, surrendered to the fidelity of the moment. A victory, hard-fought and sweetly won.

I confess, dear reader, I am a stranger to the original incarnation of this auditory treasure. Its melodies, unknown to my ears, remain shrouded in the mists of time and scarcity. But fear not, for the pressing before me exudes an enchantment of its own. Mighty fine, I declare, a feast for the senses and a balm for the soul.

A grin dances upon my lips as I gaze upon my conquest. Finally, it rests within the hallowed confines of my collection, a badge of honor for the vinyl voyager. The originals, they say, demand a king's ransom, a tribute to the gods of rarity. But here I stand, a triumphant renegade, savoring the spoils of an alternative path.

In this twisted realm of grooves and melodies, I find my solace. The vinyl sings, and I, a humble witness, revel in its song.

I think it's a great pressing. MOV hasn't done me wrong yet.

It's a LONDON THING........... better known for their seminal 'Jungle Fever' which originalyl put me onto this album for the similar sounding 'Stories'. Not really feeling the crass Blaxploitation image used obviously to sell the album. Why didn't the label put a picture of the group on the cover?????

good reissue overall but the sound level is rather low and is uneven from one track to another.
