I'm blown away by the sound quality of this record. Unbelievable, this is as good as it gets.- Surprisingly solid pressing of one of the greatest early electronic albums of all time. It's kind of crazy that you can pick these up for peanuts, I got mine as part of a cheap lot, and even though it's a VG+, it sounds NM-. Can't go wrong.

Jean Michel Jarre's groundbreaking album "Oxygene" is undoubtedly a masterpiece of electronic music that has redefined the boundaries of the genre. Since its release in 1976, it has had a tremendous influence on the music landscape and remains a timeless gem to this day.
In this review, I would like to focus particularly on the sound quality of the present German pressing from 1978, in comparison to the French pressing from 1977.
The German pressing of "Oxygene" from 1978 presents itself as a significant advancement in sound quality compared to the original French pressing from 1977. The album is presented on this pressing with astonishing clarity and brilliance. The individual layers of sound unfold with remarkable depth and detail, enhancing the listening experience even further.
The improved dynamics of this German pressing are particularly noticeable. The subtle nuances in Jarre's compositions are more clearly delineated, enhancing the emotional impact of each piece. The bass is more robust and tight, while the highs sound clearer and more precise. This creates an immersive listening experience that practically transports the listener into the fascinating world of "Oxygene."
It is remarkable how a newer pressing from a different country can offer such a significant improvement in sound quality. This not only speaks to the dedication and skills of the sound engineers but also underscores the importance of high-quality vinyl production.
Overall, the German pressing of "Oxygene" from 1978 is a pinnacle of sound quality and a worthwhile investment for audiophiles and lovers of electronic music. The enhanced presentation of the music illuminates the album in a new light and underscores its timeless relevance and artistic influence.
Jean Michel Jarre's "Oxygene" remains a captivating masterpiece even after all these years, and this German pressing from 1978 undoubtedly provides one of the best ways to enjoy it in all its glory.referencing Oxygene (CD, Album, Reissue, Repress) 800 015-2
